Brian Koenig is a composer, multi-instrumentalist and music instructor based out of Madison, WI. He currently performs with the Adventure Metal band Lords of the Trident under the moniker Baron Taurean Helleshaar. Between tours and other Lordly duties, he performs as an instrumental guitar solo act with multimedia arrangements of Video Game Music in a variety of styles. He is also a member of the Madison-based band The Solution, playing Rock and Roll originals and covers.
Beyond performing, Brian maintains a private music studio averaging 40 students a week, providing instruction in guitar of all styles, ukulele, oboe, piano, composition and other topics and instruments as well.
Credentials include a Bachelors of Music degree in Theory and History from UW-Whitewater, a Masters of Music in Composition from University of North Carolina at Greensboro, 25 years of teaching and 35 years of performing experience. Brian has played stages across the US, Canada, Europe and Japan, has published a blog in conjunction with Guitar World, and was founder of the Century Media signed band Luna Mortis.
